Problems with a Specific Puzzle

Are trying to solve a puzzle, and you have reached a point where digit "x" cannot go here, it cannot go there, in fact it looks like it cannot go anywhere, so there must be a problem with the puzzle? Or perhaps you've found two possible solutions to a row, column or zone. Surely that means the puzzle is defective, right?

With respect, we need to inform you that you are almost certainly wrong.

Every puzzle we produce is checked by computer to ensure that it has a solution, and has exactly one solution. If you think otherwise, you probably made an incorrect assumption several moves ago (possibly many moves ago!) causing a contradiction or ambiguity that only surfaced now.

So, before you report a puzzle defect, please check your work carefully against the official solution which can be found on this website. If you are new to this type of puzzle, review the How to Solve section to make sure you understand the rules and how to apply them.

If you are stil certain there is an error, please contact the webmaster.

Thanks for making the effort,
Customer Service Team
